I did 4 12's in the latter style box awhile back and it broke the lock and latch in the truck...lol

Nice car, but don't go and fawk it up!
Do some tint, some decent rims and a nice sound system and call it a day. Don't put 26's on it and lift it like it was supposed to go over some demolition cars. Can't stand those cars!

lol...i just copped a kicker zr420 im about to throw 1 of the qaud 2 ohm 15's the kicker zr240 4 now. wre it to 0.5ohm to the amp. can the amp take 0.5 on stock battery on 1 15?? or should i just wire it to 2ohm....it looks like it gets its most power on 2ohms anyway but i thought 0.5ohm would draw more power.

It'll fry. Thats waaay too low of a load. Do it at 2ohms, or don't put it in.

Sub up/port to the side will work too, good idea Canaan.

nice chevy. Ive got a 81 pontiac with that same body, just a little more cosmetic features on it. Also has the 350 motor/*****. Heres a few things i learned with mine

Back seat or back deck will need to be vented, theres soundproofing mats behind the rear seat that absorb alot of the bass.

subs back work best IMO. Havent tried subs up, but back is louder than forward. Forward seems to make the lower frequencies louder though, while the higher frequencies seem to drop off quite a bit.

Best place to ground your amp is on the hump where the tire is. That has a direct bolt to the frame right underneath it. I get .01 resistance there, with big 3 done in 4 gauge wire.

Your best bet with the regular speakers is to cut your door panels and throw some 5.25s in there, and tweeters sound best on the a-pillars. Also make some 5.25 baffles for the rear deck, no new 5x7s or 6x9s will fit in those holes. Ill get you pics of some of the things ive done to mine, as there pretty much the same.
