1800 watt mono amp. want to get 900watts to each

can some1 do a quick paint drawing or watever on how to take my mono 1800 watt amp (tsunami 1800) and wire it so my subs use FUll 2ohm power and split the 1800 watt amp evenly. so my D2's have 900 watts each.

just draw a quick picture on how to wire it for me so i can do it today. thanks (and explain it . im still confused after people told me)

there some diagrams of how to do it in this thread: http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=31984 what you want to do is wire them in series. i'll try to explain it best i can. take 2 positive wires from the positive terminal on the amp, run one wire to one + on 1 voice of each sub. next take 2 - wires and to the same as positive but to the negative side and on the opposite coil as your +. next on each speaker take a piece of wire and connect the negative to the positive and then you will have series and your amp will see 2 ohms. by the way nice setup you have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The amp is not stable down to .5 ohms. Just wire it that way and you'll be fine. It'll be a 2 ohm load on the amp and the subs will be seeing 1800 watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The difference is, if you wire two dual 2 ohm voice coil subs in parallel, you can a final impedence of .5 ohm. If you wire them in series, you get a final impedence of 8 ohms. The drawing illustrates a technique in which you are combining the two and wiring the voice coils in series, but the subs are in parallel for a final impedence of 2 ohms. This is called a series/parallel wiring configuration.
