My plan is to get an 18 MT in the RE group buy. I was wondering, Before I buy it if there were any other options to consider for cheaper? Something with the same capabilities.

18 MT = $425 shipped.

I'll consider a 15 also, either or doesn't matter to me.

The MT in the group buy is pretty **** cheap, I think that's the right way to go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you've got the room, snatch up an 18... that'd be nuts. Price would also be hard to beat. You could also get the dual 4 ohm to wire it up at 1 ohm.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

lol, gotcha.

Well while were on the subject of the 18 mt. What do you guys think about the 18 in a blazer with close to 2500 rms in a BIG ported box......

b00m like so?

no?

Rather have a couple 15" funky pups...but yea, it should go boom like so. All I know is that the blazers I've had have gotten loud as shit, with nothing near an 18" mt and 2.5k watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Before you go building something that is ridiculously huge though, I would encourage you to start somewhere around 6 cubes because that might just be all you need. All 4 of Steve Meade's 18's make their home in a 20 cubes net enclosure tuned to 30 Hz and we all know what his ride is capable of. That's only 5 cubes per woofer. Just a little food for thought.
