18 in SQL sub is it possible

Is there a such thing as a daily SQL 18inch sub.. Im open to all suggestions and can you guys please tell me the prices.. And why would u choose them. Im going with a MB QUARTZ DSC 1500.1 Im looking for a daily sub that gets loud and sounds nice. Only going with one sub. Im not gonna be in any comps or anything. I only listen to rap and its going in a 1996 impala and i want it in a ported box

personally ID run the xcon havoc or soundsplinter.. its just a matter of enclosure design with each woofer...

True, but it's pretty easy to not damage your woofer if you have too much power...as odd as that sounds. When mechanical limits are all you have to worry about(which is the case in most daily driving ported applications), then excess clean power(even if you don't really need it) and not having to worry about clipping is your friend. Not like I need to tell you this...

DD 3518 can be musical as well ported.. there alot more laid back than the 9500s...

Thanks for all the great info guys. I wanted to go with 2 15's at first but then i started thinking id go with 1 15 or 1 18.. anyboy have expierence with this mach 5 18 or the sound splinter. you guys said put about 1000watts on them, but what amp for a college student budget and how much do these subs cost? i would like a DC but i think they are out my price range i want a subt that can handle 1000 so i think the 18 lv 4 would be out my price range
