16volt alternator question

i have a xs power vcm and was wondering if i could use that and my high output 12v alternator to run a 16v system by setting the voltage on the vcm higher
Stock electrical will not sustain a 16v charge. You plan on running 14v batts to?

u can do it with a kinetic 3 post battery run the 12v post to ur car and the 16 v to ur stereo but be careful in my case the only thing that likes the 16+ volts is my bass amps the head unit and the eq will shut off if they get over 15.4 or so i have alot of experience with this type of setup on my tahoe i have 3 alternators 1 stock for the truck and the head unit and eq and 2 200amp running at 17.5 volts that go to the amps u can pm me if u would like to call me and chat about it
