So i was looking at ebay when i came across this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/KINETIK-KHC16V-12-16V-POWERCELL-CAR-AUDIO-BATTERY-HC16V_W0QQitemZ300190157894QQihZ020QQcategoryZ50552QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I was considering buying this and putting it in my trunk to power my HK4000D...what is the pros and cons of this battery? Would a simple 200A H/O be enough to charge this and the main battery. Im confused. whats the diffrence in running this battery at 12v VS. 16v And also how would you hook this up thanks guys

you need a 16v alt to charge the 16v batt

your car wont like 16v

you would need to buy a step down, in order to step the voltage down to 12v for the car, and leave the 16v main for the car audio

Actually that is a 3 post battery so he wouldn't need the step down. But you would need an alternator that is regulated to 16-18v to properly charge the battery. If you are looking to just put it in and hook up your factory alt to the 12v posts you won't be fully charging the battery and could damage it.Just buy some 8v batteries and make a bank in the trunk and charge it every few days.
