16 v system??

theres several ways to charge 16v and different batts take diff volts to charge. I know U can charge a batcap 8400 at 19.2-20v no problems. but the 3 post shouldnt be more then 18.5 continuous and 19.2 max at a short period of time
what about the D1000?? i think thats what i am goin to get..

 
you need an entirely different setup from your stock to run 16v, so that require more than 1 alternator.. Much less of a headache IMO. I charge at around 18.7v on my 16v batts.
Not necessarily.

You can run a kinetik 16v and have it wired to 12v for your stock and make the alt externally regulated and it will work also.
