Hi, right now I have a box which according to RE Audio enclosure calc, has 3.3 CUft and tuned to 30.92hz. I am running a Sounstream T5-15 off 1000 watts from a Hifonics BXI1208.

I want to get louder, in the same box, as the box is awesome. What sub would like that airspace (I think like 3.12 after displacement and tuning at 31.5hz-32hz)??

Pretty much anything from TC Sounds/Audiopulse.

Also there is a rule when building sub boxes:

You can pick from box size, efficiency(dB), and Bandwidth(Hz). You can only pick two.

You are wanting all three, so the best solution is to build a bigger box to get more efficiency. You could also tune higher to get more output.

Basically what I am saying is that you aren't going to see much, if any, improvement by just changing the subwoofer. You might be able to get a bit more power handling and excursion from TC Sounds, but you will only get maybe 3 dB more output.

Treo SSI. I had mine in 3cuft@28hz and it was a beast. Mach 5 IXL may work for you also. With that low of tuning the Soundstream couldn't have gotten but so loud, so any of those subs would work well

Isn't a 3 db increase a pretty good difference. I heard that a 3 db increase would seem twice as loud in any situation but idk.

3dB is for most people, unnoticeable. 10dB is considered double perceived volume.

X3 trust me had my 18's tuned to 32hz for a bit and they were amazing sounding they loved the lows...

10db is defined as doubling the acoustical energy, and double the 'intensity'. The reality is these definitions all rely on subjectivism. Sound levels are not like amounts of water or dirt, defining what 'twice as much' is gets tricky. One person might say a 3db increase sounds 'twice as loud' while another guy may require 8-12 db increase before he fells its 'twice as loud' or 'intense'. *shrug* Point is, dont get too hung up on the subjective terms.
