1500rms 1 Ohm stable amp that is not harsh on electrical system

The Hifonics amp will do just fine on those woofers and since you already have it, I would recommend keeping it and using the money you would have spent on a new amplifier on a sound processor, if you don't already have one.

That will ensure that you have a clean signal going to the amp and it'll also help your front stage, if you external amplifiers for it. The Alpine Imprint processors can even feed the processed signal back into the head unit so you can use the internal amplifiers rather than having to add an amp.

Dollar for dollar, that's the best upgrade you can do because as has been said, you aren't making a huge leap going from what you have to even a really high quality 1500 watt amp. You could spend a grand on a new amplifier and if you feed it a hacked up signal.... it'll play you a hacked up bass note and cook the coils on your woofers.

So would you say running the BRX2000.1d @2 ohm would be better than running Brutus 1200.1d @1 ohm. And I know that the sound processor is used for different EQ type stuff but I do not know to much about them. Do they run to or from your HU? If someone could educate me a little on those that would be nice

Thanks

If i were you, I rather run 2 good 600w or 750w subs and an apsm 1500 than run that e 15d4 and run 2ohm on a 2k amp. its a waste of money and you will bottom out all the time.

your doing this backwards by running a low end 300w - 400w sub just to run sundown.

isnt the apsms kind of hard on the electricals especially at 1 ohm? I've seen clamp test that shows it putting out 950-1000 clean rms. But yeah i would agree with you on the subs, such a waste of power, and his voltage dropping down to 13.2 isnt really that bad at all compared to the people dropping down to 11s, its not like you have to have 14.4+ if its only a daily driver.

Yeah the box is already built and its 3.2 per sub including the port and its tunes at around 32hz so the port is pretty big. What would you recommend for a good 1200 rms amp ? I know my Brutus is not putting out 1200 especially since my voltage drops to around 13.4 and it does distort and full tilt. I am getting around 1000rms out of it
Hifonics amps do rated power, you literally can't hear a difference from 1000 to 1200 watts. It's inaudible. Any more power and you're likely to blow a pair of E's.

The idiocy in this thread is killing me.. half of these people giving advice are giving CRAP advice.

1. Keep the amp

2. Get two 15s, whether they be Es, SAs, Stratos, Tantric LD/MD

3. Done

I'm pretty sure T-Fade clamped 400w out of the APSM1500 before it started distorting. They can do 1k on a bench, but when you put an actual load on them they distort all to hell.

******* i knew they were dirty power but i didnt know it was THAT much dirty power. My subwoofers must be thanking me for never buying one. right now.

dont waste money on e series sub if you want to get loud
I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. I have 2 E8V3's in a 1.75 ft^3 box tuned to 32Hz and they're still breaking in on 600 watts, 300 a piece, and they scream for entry level subs. Louder than my friend's 12" Rockford P1's in a ported box. Couldn't tell you the volume and tuning frequency, but he built the box to spec.

Will these subs do more than rated? So everyone just thinks I should keep the amp I have?
Yes. E's do more than rated in the right box. I've put the full 1000 watts to my E8V3's once and that's overpowering by 200 watts a piece. I wouldn't do that daily, but overpowering by 100-150 watts should be fine.

if you can afford to power a real 600-750w why not do that, you do the e series if you cannot afford the regular 600-750w subs not just because you wanted to run sundown and you'll get their lowest series sub, and try to over power it, this i disagree
