1500rms 1 Ohm stable amp that is not harsh on electrical system

I wish I could get the sundown but i just can't afford it and I know I have already asked but how does the MB Quart ONX match up to the Brutus line? Better ?

Another solid amp to look at would be the MB Quart Discus if you can find one. They still pop up on Ebay once in a while. They were great amps! Did more than rated and pretty efficient. Also, look at the classifieds. There's some AudioTechnix amps for sale. Like 800.1 that was bench tested at 1100 at 1 ohm I believe. They also make a 1200.1. Does more than rated as well. They're blowing out all the Audio Technix stuff right now as they changed their name to avoid a lawsuit. They've also got subs on sale too. They make a 15" Stratos that would be comparable to that Sundown E. Also an underrated 400 rms wattage sub. C2 15's are on sale too. Here's a link: C2 Audio 15" Threatcon-2

The PPI looks pretty nice and the price is not bad. How are they on your electrical system and will they do rated ?
PPI makes amazing budget amps. I'm running a PPI BK800.4 for my mids and highs and it puts out good clean power. I haven't bench tested it, but from what I hear it does rated, and then a little bit more. It's a great class D amp, and is very efficient, so your electrical shouldn't be strained too much. That is, by far, my favorite amp of the choices I mentioned, and I still love my MB Quart ONX1.1000D.

hifonics brz/brx isnt really that bad on your vehicle's electrical compared to a lot of other budget amps. Its overrated but yours should have put out close to 1k rms clean. There's a guy selling a bunch of brand new in box brx 2400.1D for 250.

But if your set on the PPIs, i'm sure trumphet can sell it to you cheaper than sonic. Still all of these amps are Budget power amps, they all do their job well but just dont expect 400$ sundown quality and efficiency from it.

I think after reading some other reviews and looking at the PPI BK1800 this is the amp I will go with to push the E-15s

If anyone else has some input on this amp I would love to hear it. There is one on Amazon for right under $200 does that seem like a good price for this amplifier? And one other thing after I get the E-15s broke in good what is the max power I should put on them?

Thanks for all the help and replies I really appreciate it

You are right about I shouldn't expect sundown which almost makes me want to save up a little extra money to get the SAX 1200. Worth waiting longer and just save up and get it?

You can't work around the laws of physics. Most of Class D amplifiers have about the same efficiency. What you can do is find an amplifier that can do 1500watts RMS at 2ohm. That should use a bit less current since most amps are more efficient with 2ohm load.

^^^ this

i'd say, live a little lol. Instead of pumping that money an sax 1200, get the brx 2400.1d and spend that cash on two sundown SA 15 D2s instead and wire it to 2 ohms

you'll be louder and happier on the same budget.

Either way 1000 watts or better you need to upgrade alt and battery your electrocal was not ment for aftermarket save your money get a highoutput alt then upgrade your system youll be happy you dont have to replace your battery and alt twice , im running a hfi 1500d and went thru 2 batteries and an alt now im saving for my highoutput and sec batt in the trunk as I burned that one too

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh out loud. If it wasn't for our closeout sale on PPI I wouldn't have any of my prices set cheaper than Sonic. Then, consequently I have amplifiers that appear to be too cheap, and people are hesitant to try them. You could say I'm bitter about the whole thing.
