150 + db with jbl W15GTi MKII?

Owens is up higher then a 55. Before you make references to others on the forum, get it correct. Maybe my expectations are too high.......i would not settle for less, with that much equipment.
I don't see what you find "FUNNY"
He is over a 55 with his new system that includes 6 15's and 6 40.1's. BTW, here is what is in his signature over on SSA:

2007 SB4 Texas State Record - 155.0 dB playing Lil Jon "What You Gonna Do".

Unlike you, I state things that are absolutely correct or I do not state them at all. I'm not saying that all he had in the (4) 15's is a 55, but if you are going to be a nit picking butthole then so will I.

Oh, and what I find funny is that you are not accurate in what you are saying when trying to make me look bad.

My old suburban:

SB4 Texas State Record - 155.0 dB

His "old set up" will burp considerably higher the SB4.

His "NEW" set up is .3 down from a 160+.

I am done arguing with you, i think your a noob. I'm out to have fun for the weekend, i suggest you do the same.

Perhaps I read to much in to the following comments, nor did I indicate at all that they could hold up to the MT's, DP's, BTL's, or any other assigned acronym subwoofer. Without being terribly argumentative I was simply showing that it is possible, wall or no wall.
Yes I agree its possible. Id even go so far as to say that is the type of setup I would build for myself personally (lower tuning, more musical subs like the GTi). But this isn't about mine or your choice, its about the OP's, and the OP seems only to care about output, in which case the other subs I mentioned would surely be a better choice.
Being possible doesn't necessarily mean its the best choice.

Wrong again. I have been around for quite a while. Total copout to call me a noob when that is far from the case. Just because I don't have a gazillion posts and numerous build logs does not categorize me as a noob it just simply means I'm not an internet *****.

And for the record, we were not discussing burp numbers. I was emphasizing music numbers. You should really check your own quote that states his SB4 score is a 155. The quote that I pulled straight from his profile on SSA included the fact that it was done in 2007 with a lil Jon song. You are consistently proving yourself to be wrong.

Agreed.

BTW, I still love that blazer in your signature. I know I complimented it a good while ago, but that thing is friggin sweet.

if i dont get close to me goal, i'll just get me 2 dd9515's or hdc3's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

youll get close or over if you know what you're doing it takes lots of time and so much more practice then you will ever imagine.

if you use aeroports, you can test and up the tuning frequency alot easier as well, so if you dont get what you want you can usually make it higher alot easier.

It's possible to get to 150+. I got 2 jbl w10gti's in a 4.5 ft3 box and hit for 137 and it's just a temp box I ordered. My friend had w10gti's on power acoustik 2400 watt amp 8 ft3 box tuned to 40 hz. They beat out everything that went up against them in competitions. He was hitting in the high 160's. So it possible to get that. Think about it jbl held the record with 2 w15gti's.

The GTi's can take ALOT of power on a burp due to the differential drive setup. They don't bottom hard and they will take alot of power for a short time. JBL in development to find their failure points didnt' have enough to kill them on a burp with 2 crown amps putting out around 10k watts IIRC. Longterm for music though they wouldn't like that much at all, but I bet you could get them to burp a 150 plus if you knew what you were doing. However, longterm musical output for a daily vehicle and just burping a certain number are two very different things.
