15" Type R vs 15" Fi BL

Why not just recone the sub to a 15? Then post pictures of the process for me to troll through will im at work.

The BL should overall get louder and sound better than a Type R, given that you build a box that is optimal for the driver.

Type R's can get loud too, but it is all install dependent. Just a driver change doesn't mean anything without proper tuning/adjustments/etc...

there was a good noticeable difference between the fi q and the type r in the same box. of course they were both retuned. also I notice the type r seems to play lower better than the fi q.

what he's saying, is it might just be that the box you have is better suited to the R than the Q, possibly the Q would get louder with a new box.
