Box is too big, its going to reduce the power handling.... 2 1/2 inch coils do not like lots of power.

hmmm. this is only 1 cu ft (.5 cu ft per sub) bigger than what i would normally do with a type-R. The port is quite a bit bigger though.

I've never really tried type-R's in a smaller ported box, maybe i'll give that whirl instead?
