15' Alpine Type R

Bottom Line.. I have a Kenwood KAC-X621 1200 Watt Max.. Go with the 2 12's or 1 15'... ANYONE HAVE INPUT...
NEVER LOOK AT THE PEAK RATINGS!

Heres the actual ratings for that amp-

POWER RATINGS

- Bridged Power Output at 12V (1kHz, 0.5% THD): 400 Watts x 1

- Bridged Power Output at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.5% THD): 600 Watts x 1

you have 600 watts RMS at 4ohms to work with, so you need a 600 watts RMS 15 or 2 300 watt RMS 12's.

Keep in mind you need to be able to wire your subs for a 4ohm load.

A pair of 12's would need to be DVC 2ohm or SVC 8ohm.

A single 15 would need to be DVC 2ohm or SVC 4ohm.

Go with 2 12's if you have the space for the box, they have the potential to be louder.

they get loud as f*ck for $165 bucks a piece. ive seen two 15" type r's in a 1996 neon hit 154.7 in a sealed enclosure with 1000 watts a piece.(2 mrd m1001)
