145db with 1000rms??

Last time I metered Term-lab, 850 watts two powerbass ps-12's in a slot ported pre-fab in the trunk. 142.1 stock elecrical 4 gauge wiring. Amp and H/U wasn't tuned in at all. I think it's doable.

I've hit quite a bit higher with that set up. Just not in front of officials. At local comps.

its not really the amp, its car(air space) box/port size. I gotta buddy who hit 148.7dBs with two kicker comp 12"s n a ma audio hk401SX in a durago. SUVs own with air space. I have yet to meter mine but im definitly in the 155-160 range with a silverado. my box is about 200 lbs, but it gets it done.

Ummm, no sorry. I highly doubt that. Not trying to bash on your setup as Im sure its sweet but thats just not realistic judging by whats listed in your sig.

155 is not easy to get it.

To the OP, it can be done but you have to have some knowledge to achieve it.

I don't think your friend really hit a 148.7 with those kickers. and i can pretty much guarantee that you're not hitting 155-160.

Also, you can't really describe 155-160 as a "range". 5 dbs is a huge difference

Not hard at all to 145+ on around 1000 watts. With $260 to spend if I were you I would check ebay for a JBL BP 1200.1. On 2-10" ads subs in a saturn sc1 we were up to 149.1 outlaw. With daily tuning.

i did 150.8 on 1500 rms amp with 2 10's. on dash, legal. but then again, that was in a hatch and i know wtf im doing.

my buddy does 144 with music in an accord trunk with 2 10's and american bass 100.1, box built and tuned by me.
