145db with 1000rms??

i did 145 at the kick panel on 3 kicker cvr's in a sealed box off of 1000 watts

its not really the amp, its car(air space) box/port size. I gotta buddy who hit 148.7dBs with two kicker comp 12"s n a ma audio hk401SX in a durago. SUVs own with air space. I have yet to meter mine but im definitly in the 155-160 range with a silverado. my box is about 200 lbs, but it gets it done.

i couldn't take that much noise. 145 is loud enough for me. 155+ is just painful.

I agree. I sat in a van doin 165s. It was stupid. I think dude with the truck needs more power to be hittin numbers like that. No doubt hes prolly around a 150.

You might wanna look in audioque. An HDC would get loud off that power but would be begging for more. I had mine on 1000rms and it was real nice. You might wanna try an SDC2.5. They are cheaper and get just as loud. There was a test where they tested back to back and the hdc was only like a db or two higher. Only thing is they are d4 so you might need a new amp for 2 ohms.

I hit 147.3db with a pair of Power HX2 12" with a single Crown BPX 1100.1 amp

in a 1985 Mazda 626 hatchback....legal on dash

added a 2nd BPX 1100.1 and hit 149.2...legal on dash

I got 143.6 legal on dash with 1000 watts and the 2 Stereo Integrity BMs I am selling, with some tweaking I could have gotten 145.
