id like to play around with two 12s in a 4 cube box with interchangeable octoports- daily and burp. i have a AQ3500 and the electrical to support it. looking through all the options and staying around $400 im leaning towards AB xfls or the ever popular SA12s though id rather have 3" coils.

are there any other drivers that fit into this catagory?

are recones for xfls easy to get and not a ton of money?

thanks

I've got 2 of the newer model D4 XFLs for sale in the classifieds right now. I had them on a M3a and they took it just find. (P.S. a M3a clamps the same as a SAZ3000). Recones are just a phone call away and really easy to get if you need them; the only people I know that have needed recones were pushing over 2k to each sub

Is your AQ3500 the old one rated for 3500 or the newer one rated for 4300? 3500 would be fine but I feel like 4300 would be pushing XFLs a little unless you kept the gain down.

And a site note, an AQ3500 would completely destroy a pair of SAs if you used them daily for extended periods of time

4 cubes might be a little small for 2 of them though, they tend to like larger boxes. You'd probably be more comfortable at 5 cubes for 2 of them.

If I were you I'd give the dimensions you have to work with and have @Buck ; sell you a design. He'll make it work

I run 4 cubes net on a pair just fine. Anything past about 4.5 net for 2 is ridiculous and won't handle the power you're pushing due to mechanical limits
