It will probably help to first have a little background on the setup I am working towards.
I have a US AMPS 600x And I am considering the Image Dynamics 12IDQD2
I am going to attempt to build my own enclosure and I am trying to determine exactly how big the box needs to be.
I found a Speaker Enclosure Cacluator and after playing with it for it a bit I'd need to build a 14.25" x 14.25" x 8.9" to get an enclosure volume of 0.701 ft^3
Or I could increase the depth to get the width and height slightly smaller to keep the same internal volume.
According to the ID website the sub's displacement is 0.07 ft^3 and I am not sure how this factors into the enclosure calculations.
To factor the sub's dislplacement does that mean I just make the box that 0.07 ft^3 bigger so the boxes volume would then be 0.708 ft^3?
Any help or links to references would be appreciated
