Treo subs

since this is about treo i was jsut wondering... my friend has 2 treo 10s not sure what model but they are in a prefab box made to fit under the rear seat in an ext. cab f150. i think he has a kenwood amp like 200rms X 2. They do not have very good sound quality and really dont get very loud.

Is this just because he has a small box or small amp, or are his model of treo just a cheap one?

Maybe you should find out what subs he has?

Also a model number on the amp would be helpful.

in an ext cab truck, the box will make or break your whole setup. they are so critcal in those trucks. i ran a lot of treo woofers, they are great products. you cant blame the product for his lack of SQ when he is running a pre-fab box. also, people dont really give them all the power they need. i was running a pair of tsi 10"s with 1100 watts, and it sounded great, also got decently loud, and that was under the seat of an ext cab truck.

1100rms? That seems like alot for tsi's. Are they that good and handle that much power?

yea, 1100 watts. they took it all day long. then i ran a single tsx 10" ported with 1100 watts.

just as a side note, my dealer sticks zapco c2k 9.0s on pairs of tsx 10"-12"s.

Please oh please elaborate! Explain yourself more clearly here...I for one would like to hear it.

As for Treo subs...I ran a pair of SSi 10.22's in a truck ('05 SuperCrew) powered by a Zapco 9.0. They love power to say the least. If you aren't giving one at least 1000 watts, it ain't happy, IMO. They had pretty good SQ, I have heard better but they definately can get LOUD.

Price...well, I guess for most they can get a little expensive, but honestly...who pays retail for anything anymore? Treos can be had new on Ebay for cheap if you are patient.

the reason you have heard better SQ is because you had the ssi. it goes super low, but the tsx sounds better.
