12 Type X vs. MTX 9500.....opinions wanted

man any 2 subs ina pickup truck cab will sound good...... i heard 2 crap *** low end audiobling 15's ina pickup trunk and it still hit hard as balls (dirty sq though)

non the less....... PERSONALLY i'd go with the mtx but thats just me

if the box is done right you cant go wrong either way.......

the type X isn't loud... at all!

I'd go with the type R in this application, I'd also use a smaller box, 3+ cubes is good big.

Type X and 9500 are 2 completley diffrent worlds. the Type x is a SQ machine will the 9500 is a SPL machine. The Type x is decent loudness but the SQ is amazing. The 9500 is Amazing loudness and it does have some SQ to it. but i dont think the price tag its worth it honestley. I would rather have 2 8500's. What are u looking for. SQ or loudness. ur choice i guess. And if your choice is SQ id go with a diffrent sub then the TYpe x. u can just get the best of both worlds if you go for a XXX.

Also the new type R's i hear are pretty insane. Id suggest 2 of those also. the 05 version. those thigns go on ebay for like 215 shpped for 2 12's. will prob eb louder then the 9500 and sound really good 2.

Ok so I narrowed it down

2- Type R 12's-1000 watts 4ft^3 tuned 30-35hz

2- Sounstream T4 12'S-1000 watts 4ft^3 tuned 30-35hz

1- MTX 9500 12-1000 watts 3.5^3 tuned 30-35hz

What exactly do you want? SPL or SQ? Either way, two 12" Type R's should be louder than the single 9500, if installed correctly.

Then go with the R's. That 9500 wont be as loud as them, and the R's will probably sound better.
