12 Type X vs. MTX 9500.....opinions wanted

In a single 12 setup ported tuned to 30hz in a 3.5-4.0 ft^3 box,both given around a 1000 watts which do you guys think would sound better and get louder. Im in a toss up and cant determine which I want. Or do you guys event hink these subs compare. Theyll be in a 03 Nissan Maxima. Please help

No the subs really dont compare. If you are going to port an alpine sub i say make it a 12" type r...

Thanks for replying, Ive heard 2 type x 10's in a ported box, like 1.5ft^3 per sub in an extended cab s-10 with a blow through and it was pretty **** loud, but Ive never heard the 9500, Ive just heard what people have said and I cant decide.

The 9500 would be louder, but probably wouldnt be quite as good in the sq department, but by no means will it sound bad.

Theirs no way to tell without listening, but 2 12s should be louder off the same power.

Go with a single 15" 9500, cant go wrong. Or even a single 15" Type R. Either way, you should be happy with the outcome.
