12" Type-R VS 15" CVR

i have dealt with both the cvr 15s and the type-rs. i actually liked the r's more. i really depends on how much room you have. i had 2 cvr 15s in 6 cuft. net and i thought they weren't very loud at all. i would probably do 4 12 type rs.

I wanna go LOUD! I wanna be able to pull up to anybody that is out there just banging thier system as loud as they can, looking cool, AND THEN JUST PUT THEM TO SHAME. Im not sure that 4 Rs will do that. Maybe im underestimating them.

If you want pure and insane SPL like you're describing, then you better check into something like the Eclipse SW9100s, XXXs, or Solo-Xs. Other than that, I feel you'd be hard pressed with your budget to get a better setup that gets loud, low, and clear with R's or X's.

4 typers are loud for your budget.

I would go with the CVRs. You would have more cone area. And it would be **** loud.

But like stated earlier. If you want insane SPL, go with some Solo-Xs.

After thinking about it all over again. I really don't have that much room for 4 15" CVRS. The 12" r's is what I will probably get then. I just don't wanna be dissappointed after all the money and time I will spend on this.

go with the 4 15" CVR's. I just put them on bassbox pro 6 and it said they would fit in 10.5 cubes you just have to make the port right.

4 12" type rs.. would be crazy..

um please no, Get the sidewinders, probably be a better sub then both the CVR and the Hype R, then you can be original, not many if any 4 sidewinder setups

Looks like I have another bright idea.

Would a 18" Solo-X be louder than 4 type-r 12s?

Seems how box will be right at about 10-10.5 after port area, I will have just enough space for either.
