12" RL-P Box Plan

I powered up my RL-P wired at 1 ohm today using an Orion 600D amp. It was in a sealed box that my JL W0 was in because I was too lazy to get another box. The JL box looked like this except my 1 12" W0 was in it:

The RL-P did not get loud at all -- it barely sounded louder than my JL W0 which only had 100 watts or so. Now I have decided to build a ported SQL box. Will this box get loud and sound good doing it?

If someone could design me a better SQL ported box. I will pay for design. I dont want to compromise anymore.
