12" Massive audio DMX stage 2 Build

Parts:

12" Paper pulp cone (Deciding which one to use)

8" Stiff spider w/ tied down leads (From David - Recieved yesterday

8 Layer aluminum flatwind - quad .76 ohm voice coil (Delievering tomorrow)

Fi style Dust cap (Sending payment tomorrow)

12" 4 spoke basket - Painted black with a slight flake & cleared (Received from ls2poweredgoat)

Massive Audio DMX stage 2 motor (Bought from canyouhearmatt then traded with phatphil's for my TC-9 + I build his sub)

Goal is a daily sub, that has lowend and takes some nice power. I am hoping for and planing for 3k RMS.

Removed the softparts from my 15" - Saved the coil

Bolted up the 12" basket

I removed the back cover and sprayed the back the same color as the basket. If you look closely you still see the massive but with a matalic black color. Also applied the decal.

lol, made it look sloppy. It was my first time with that sytle cap. I have used the Fi style before, so it should be smoother.

Sounds like user error. I was pushing 1700w RMS to the 15" I built ant it took it like a champ.

haha i know.. it actually held up very well for the first week, i was looking for a sub to compete in street beat one with. i settled with 3 8w7s for now. want to get a powerbass 4xl but not sure how it will do if played on music..

I heard a 15" true DMX on 1k and it seemed pretty loud. Im just hoping for a beast 12", and to be mid 140's. We'll see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Update (6-19-09):

Small update here. Fedex showed up with my coil from scott. These coils are SEXY! Pictures does not do justice of how meaty they are. Maybe scott knows what I'm talking about here. Anywho, pictures

She's tight, but when centered, no rubbing at all. Perfect.

I think I picked my cone Im going to use. Its a wideroll rubber surround from Mike (woofercooker). Sorry for the small picture but I borrowed it from him for an example. Should make for a sexy looking moofer.
