hey guys im about to start my build for my 12" Q and am looking at 1.8 ft^3@32hz. The only problem with this is....for two 4" precision ports they must be something like 35" each. I only have 20" wide to work with and my box wont be the extra 15" deep. What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks!

ive thought this through and im definately going ported. somewhere between 1.8-2.2 ft^3 @ 32 hz. Would 1 4" precision port be enough for this sub or would I need 2?

You're pretty much gonna need two to keep from having really bad port noise issues and the bigger the box, the higher the port velocity for the same port area and tuning. 1.8 should work out OK, though to my taste it would probably be a little boomy in the 30-40 Hz region (3dB hump just above tuning). In the sub bass region the ported box should be considerably louder than the sealed to the tune of 6dB more efficient @ 40hz.
