I had these subs, they're not that great. That amp you have will power them fine. Don't play them in the cold, they will crack. Next time, get something better.

those sony subs are not that bad. i had one a while ago. it got fairly loud, and did not sound that bad. i had mine on a sony 760 amp. (380rms it said). they are not total junk there is just much better.

the reason they worked good, is becaus you used a sony amp with the sony subs....and yes, sony is total JUNK.

not trying to be an *** or anything, but IMO if you think sony gets loud and doesn't sound bad, you must never have heard a GOOD system

yea those pioneer premiers are pretty good, my friend had 2 of them running off a 1000 watt kenwood mono and they pounded. i do agree that sony is not the best,, since when i went to BB they had a quality chart rockford fosgate amzaing - Jbl awsome - sony good lol, so yea.... i got 5 1/4 sonys in my doors. only got them cuz they were 35$ on sale lol.. and i got the 6x9 xplods in the rear, they are not to bad. but i do realize there is better... only paid 140 for the set though so yea. the only reason i got the visonik is becuase it was brand new and the guy wanted 50$ lol for the sub box and amp..... he paid 100 for it lol.... BB has a kenwood 1200W 400 rms for 139.99, might get that mayby.... i dont got a CC right now so i cant really order off the net unless they do bank transfers.

get on ebay and look at the powerbass s serie's sub's. they are well built and for the price they are unbeatable. you can get the 12 for 50 shipped and they sound awesome. match that up with a powerbass asa 300.2 for 110 shipped and for 160 shipped you have a great system

Don't worry bout people like him. They only do that because they don't have any balls and they talk sh!t because they're behind a computer screen. People on here are so ruthless. I mean so what, he wants Sony? They're not that great but thats what the guy wants. Why push all this other crap on him when all he asked was how would they sound with his amp. I mean people make suggestions, but why do you have to be like "Sony sucks, get this because I have it". Some of you guys need to back off people just starting to get into car audio and maybe help them because thats what a forum is for. Save $40-60 more & get type R or Infinity Kappa perfect, You can get new for cheap on ebay.

ok when i posted about my car i wasnt refering to it as a POS lol, i was just saying i dont got like a sport car or massive SUV, so i dont need insane crazy stuff.... yes i do realize that visonik is fairly poor, but it was 50$.... so i didnt care... like a 12inch box alone is 79.99..... i got sub, amp and box... so i took it.... plus that gave me the motivation to run wires through my car lol, dad still doesnt know either. budget is not really an issue.... but i dont want to spend alot.. like i know good quality stuff does cost more... and yes mike i have loooked into those subs and stuff, pretty sweet.

i was also looking on this site http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ they got some realllly cheap stuff on here... see now since ive got the car wired, now i can upgrade...
