I used to run type E when I had my Eclipse hatchback. I was very happy with it. It did have alot of bump to it. When I got my Hundi Elantra and switch out my system in it, it was ok, but it just didn't get it. So I upgraded to type R. I think it depends on you application. It is a entry level sub, but, I have nothing bad to say about type E.

all depends on wat ur looking for..there not a SPL sub..nice SQ sub..good for the money..a buddy of mine had 2 of them in a prefab..and they sounded nice...get then in a nice ported box and u should like them..
