10's or 8's...worried about low end.

Wow very dramatic thread. Lets get back to topic. Three or four 8" subs ported would be the best setup in my opinion. Compared to the other option presented.

Also 8" subs are just as capable of playing low note as any other sub.

If you got enough 8's to play as loud as (2) 15's (like my setup), the sound quality would be better (depending on the listener). Right?

Without knowing the specs of a sub, a completely accurate judgement cant be made. There are many factor to take into account beside cone area.

The Sky is the Limit in Car audio. So you cant say that a group of 8's wont play at low as an 18". Technology is changing everywhere. My family's half-ton pickup can tow 2 tons. Thats 4x time the amount of input, so dont let the cover fool you.

Its all in the Science of things:D

Two can play that game. lets highlight a couple things you forgot to...
This was my reply:

"Sd is only one portion of the equation in displacement potential. If you dont know what that means, or how it relates to what ive quoted... you should."

In other words, you stating the speaker with the larger piston naturally plays lows better is an over generalization. Which still holds true, even after the pages of excuses and techo-babble from you.

Notice, for example, the last comment of yours I quoted... "you are gunna have a hard time emphasizing any lows from 8's". No where do you mention an 8 with a high Fs, you simply say that 8's are incapable of reproducing low bass well. What was the word you used later... struggled. An over generalization.

Only later, after its brought to your attention, do you google Fs and a few other jewels of info and weave it into your logic. And we see how well that turned out for you... "the Fs is the value for their peak responce". Nice little jewel of information that was.

Lastly, your sentenses would make more sence, and people might take your responces more seriously, if you were to work on enhansing your spelling skillses.

In conclusion, we do still agree that your mom's trunk bangs. (yes helo, Im implying Ive had anal secks with her, big time)
and like i said if you would've used your brain you would've known what i ment considering in that whole paragraph i'm saying SOME 8's or MOST 8's or USUALLY can't... yet you ignore that and focus on other sentences and naturally coume up with a stupid interpretation of my meaning that is obviously not true...

just shut up...

please just tell me your not seriously trying to tell me that i in any paragraph MENT that all 10s > all 8s:rolleyes:

but i know you are, and that sad fact might make you look cool to the forum junkies, but i see through you and the truth is you are a moronic idiot who was given many logical examples as to why the advice he gave is un-sensible and is now pissed about it, and now you'll do anything in your ability to make me look wrong in order to once again shift the focus back to yourself

my 15" btl has an FS of 36hz. was in 4.5 cubes @ 33hz
my 15" SI mag had an FS of 22hz. was in 4 cubes @ 33 hz

my BTL got a LOT lower than my mag did...

sealed boxes actually play lower.
it doesn't matter i didn't say they didn't...

although that seems like an odd statement to me,

i said that his examples where in ported boxes and didn't apply to this discusion...

and thats another generalization...

i have a sealed box for a 10w6 and it peaks strongly at 41 hz

if he could make a sealed box over-sized, then yes it would emphasize the lows

but then again, thats defeating the purpose:veryhapp:

wow, i cant believe this thread is still going on.

also , if all you have to base your argument off of, is just one brand (that is one of the most, if not THE most, overpriced) out of hundreds, its not very valid. they charge you an arm for one of thiers when you could get two of equal quality for the same price elsewhere. your argument is poop.

you are an idiot. saying a sealed box plays lower is an "odd statement to [you]"?
