10's or 8's...worried about low end.

Pretty much none of what Hoss has said in here has been serious.
Internet sarcasm > joo
However.. I do still have that L7 For Sale. $50 All it needs is a re-ohm.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

bah??? Um.....the only way you can 'adjust' the ohms on a speaker is if it's dvc you can wire in parallel or series to 'change' the ohms (notice the quotations). There is no magical dial you can turn to change the resistance on a voicecoil. It is how it's made. If a coil is made with a 4 ohm resistance it's four ohms, if it's made with a resistance of 2 ohms, it's 2 ohms. PERIOD. That's like saying you can adjust your skin color by twisting your nipple. Clockwise for lighter, counterclockwise for darker lol. The old strokers came in dual 4's and dual 2's, hence their 18d2 or 18d4 product names. I'm sorry man but maybe you have to be more specific on what you mean by 'adjust the ohms' on a sub because right now you're making no sense.
You're somewhat fucking retarded. But good try at understanding the sarcasm

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif you can't re-ohm an L7. It only works for circular woofers. Thus the O in ohms. Kicker has to have their ohm special-ordered for the square woofers. Overnight parts from Japan.

Sd is only one portion of the equation in displacement potential. If you dont know what that means, or how it relates to what ive quoted... you should.
He has space restrictions that require he goes with a sealed 10. I fail to see how you equate this to mean a comparable system running an 8 must also be sealed. Generally speaking, an 8 ported will take approx the same size as a 10 sealed.

I do agree with you on one thing though, your mom's trunk slams.
i thought he said 4 8''s or 2 10''s

:confused:so what i was saying is 8's sealed won't hit as low as 10's sealed... 2 8's ported might be able to hit really low and loud, by why mess with it when you can do just as good or better with 2 10's sealed?

You do realize you've presented absolutely no reasoning for your arguement, right?

i just figure its easier to do a sealed box for 10's than a ported for 8's esspecially since for really good low-bass performance you'll have to design a low box and probably lose a little high-end performance...

when 10's would do better (with an idiot-proof sealed) and have room for improvement (putting them in a ported eventually)

also 8's with alot of power handling tend to be alot more expensive than 10's

IE you could get just about any sub in a 10, but only a few in an 8

The point is, you really have zero reason why a ten is superior to a pair of 8's, beyond cost. Many times its possible to fit 8's due to depth, while 10's will not fit. But if people listen to you, they think running a pair of 8's would be settling. In fact, when comparing apples to apples, a pair of 8's should outperform a single 10 in almost any application (besides cost).

Yes, sealed box systems are simpler, this does not equate to 10's are better than 8's, 12's are better than 10's, etc.

All your nonsense and showing your install in an S10, kinda makes me embarrassed to own an S10 myself.
haha...s10's are cool trucks, even if you occaionally find a retard that owns one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
