Just wondering, say I get the AP 1800. Which does 1100 @ 2 ohms vs the AP 1500, 1,500 @ 1 ohm.

Aside from the wattage. What is the difference from running the different resistance? Is the amp more stable at 2 ohms?

Will 4 gauge be good enough for the AP1500?

I purchased the AP1500. Hope to get it by Saturday so I can get everything hooked up and running.

You'll be fine if you have the proper electrical. If you haven't already... look into doing the Big 3. And ya might wanna pick up an extra battery and/or get a HO alt.

When tuning the amp. I was looking through and it said to set the Gain Voltage to your RMS Wattage squared. I was wondering, since I have the 1,500w. Do I use 1,500w or 1,000w(which is what my subs RMS rating is)?

When it comes to amps, you never want to use more gain then is necessary. Start at 1000rms and see how u like it. If it is suitable, leave it at that setting

What hz, 50 or 60? Does it matter?

it all depends on what Hz works best for your subs. This will also change with box, and placement in vehicle.

Also keep in mind with the cheaper amp you dont have the best "clean" power so this will limit you on what your subs will take for power without clipping.

If your just going for SPL then clipping will not matter in most cases.

So I turn the gain until 31.62 VAC? Do I need to change the other settings (LPF, Subsonic Filter, etc) on the amp?
