1000w RMS?

I have 2 12" Cerwin Vega Vmax (500w RMS) D2. The voice coils are in parallel and at the terminals they're 2.7 ohms each.

If I'm correct, I need 1000w RMS at 1 Ohm?

I've searched the forums and found some Hifonics, Rocksford Fosgate, Audioque, etc.

How is this one?

The cadence would be fine, however, you can find 1000rms cheaper. Cadence is a good company tho

What do you recommend? or brands at least?

oh and I'm using the stock headunit. So I'm supposed to use a LOC? Where would I put the LOC? Before the stock amp, after the stock amp or at the stock sub wiring?

check out a audiopipe 1500d. can b had for 160ish to your door new in box. they come with a 100 fuse ,some people bump up to a 150.

audiopipe is a good company. great budget amps and subs. there is alot of threads about there stuff, some say there great and some say there not so great. for the money im gona give it a try. do a few searches u will see there great amps for the money. they can b had for 120 or so used. they dont have internial fuseing they come with a fuse holder and a fuse. like i said if u get the 1500d just put in a 150 fuse.

if your subs are dual 2's then you need something 1000rms at 2 ohm or something 1/2 ohm stable.

ap does 950 at 2 ohms, i do have to say most amps that are close to the rms as the audiopipe amp only does 750 at 2 ohms. i would go wth the audiopipe amp.

The audiopipe and MB amp are decent on a budget. If you're looking for "clean" power though, I wouldn't suggest it.

How much does that Amp usually go for? So I know when to stop bidding lol.

How do u do a test to see if its clean power or not?

Have u used either amps and had your subs blow because of dirty power, and not because u didnt push them too hard?
