10" Sub Needed

Putting system together for 02 Silverado regular cab. I have Soundstream XTA600.5 amp (90w X 4 + 240w X 1). I want to put one 10" sub in a ported box. Which one would you recommend?

diamond audio D3 for that amp....or a D6 if u get a more powerful amp....or a D9 if u feel like blowin out ur ears, and if u get a great amp

the tdx was kind of a piece, and what i have heard is the d9 is the same sub. anyway, i think the mounting depth of the d9 is too much for his application anyway. the diamond d3 is still underpowered with the amp you have. i have had really good luck with the treo tsi. it is their entry level sub. i had two tsi 10"s in my truck temporarly, and it sounded better and louder than my ssi's, simply because i was overpowering them and underpowering my ssi's. for $100 a sub, you simply cant go wrong. i think it is an *** kickin sub performance and cost wise.

With your wattage i would recommend a Kicker Comp or if you think you can get away with the wattage then a Comp VR. Really cheap and doesnt need alot of wattage to get loud.

comp vrs ****, the diamond d9 is not a TDX, it uses TDX technology. if you want a good 10 and nothing that takes outrageous power i recommend a 10W3 from JL. i have a buddy with a single 10W3 and like 300 wrms. sounds better than the two 12" P3s i used to have. granted punch P3s **** but for one ten to sound better and hit almost as hard. you cant beat it

the memphis power reference would be a nice cheap sub for that amp, they're like 60 a piece of ebay

I would go for an RL-I with the small amount of power and space you have.

then coot, the head tech over at diamond, told me wrong. according to him it was nothing more than a cosmetic makeover. the w3 is a very overrated woofer. with little power i would still take the tsi over the w3v2 anyday.

I don't know who told you guys the TDX was a piece but my D9 gets louder and sounds better than my 12" IDMAX.... it's all opinion based though!!

That would be a good dispute. I have heard both and I have to say its hard to say which one is better. I would side with the idmax on sq a tad more. But the tdx d9 was just as loud and very close on sq.

i would still take a w6v2 over a tdx anyday. i ahve had 4 or 5 tdxs

how about first how much money do you have to spend because all these subs are in all kind of different price ranges
