I've never said it's a perfect SQ woofer, but mearly as an all around. Your ears are different than mine or his. I believe the SSi IS a great sounding SQ sub woofer. Who are you to tell me wrong. You have YOUR opinion, I have mine. I have my reasons as to why I chose the SSi over the others.

the ssi is a SPL oriented woofer. it is like comparing an L7 to a W6v2. dude...it cant even reach the upper bass notes. tight punchy bass, forget it. nowhere near a SQ sub. it is a **** good sub if it suits your needs, but it is super power hungry and needs a large ported box to be happy. i have had lots of experience with all treo subs. if that is one of the best SQ subs that you have heard, then you need to get out more and see what else is out there.

I thought my L7 sounded pretty **** good as did a friend of mine that has an ear pickier than mine.

Here's something totally different, I like the DLS MW110 magnesiun cone sub. Doesn't take a gob of power to run, sounds very clean. You can find these for around $130 or so. See it @http://www.dlsamerica.com/ Just my opinion. In the specs they don't recomend a sealed enclosure, but I have heard some in sealed boxes that sound great.

Aww yes. 18 yrs old and I see you know it all. I got in car audio when you where just starting school. Don't cop some attitude w/me. You have your views/opinions, I have mine. That's what makes this world go round. This is one of those cases where one should listen to there elders. We all start from somewhere, but some, ya you, start off like they know it all. NOW...I'm out. Say what you want, I don't and haven't spread BS and will continue to do the same. Oh yea, I see you have the same ****n sub that I do, how funny.

Well I've had my D9 for a couple weeks in a sealed fiberglass box and I would DEFINILTY consider it a SQ sub but I had a box built (this one http://www.diamondaudio.com/products/pdfs/Single%2010%20in%20Vented%2005.pdf

) and picked it up yesterday. This got MUCH louder than my sealed 12" IDMAX (it's ported vs sealed though) and sounds ALOT better. If you get a D9, get that box built. It is the same size as a sealed box and it will get SOOOOOOOOO LOOOUUDDD
