Infinity does make some great SQ subs, and with some SPL

M3D's -- these are a step up from the perfects, nice subs, with bump.

that doesnt make sense. how you have the greater than less than sign arranged. anyway the SSi is not exactly a SQ woofer, it can pick up those super low notes. the TSX gets low and it has super tight clean energetic bass. i think that is a very very good sounding woofer. in fact i have two more coming to replace my SSi's next week. and the Tsi is actually what i have in my truck for the time being until i get my TSXs. the are in fact better sounding than the SSi's, they just dont get as low. they are way more efficient than the SSi too. they dont take 1/4 of the power to get just as loud. the only downfall of that woofer is it cant reach those super low notes of the SSi. other than that it is a mini TSX without as much output as the TSX at the higher notes. but, for an entry level sub that cost $100, you simply cant go wrong.

I've never said it's a perfect SQ woofer, but mearly as an all around. Your ears are different than mine or his. I believe the SSi IS a great sounding SQ sub woofer. Who are you to tell me wrong. You have YOUR opinion, I have mine. I have my reasons as to why I chose the SSi over the others.

Such an in depth argument over good SQ subs is stupid. Any decent quality sub can have fine SQ. When we are talking about playing 20 to ~70hz, there really isnt that much of difference in SQ as people like to imply. L7s have won SQ comps and they are generally thought to have horrible SQ. Install and application trump these petty SQ arguments. Its when you get into SQL supersubs that you begin to see bigger differences in SQ, mind you thats only when pushed to their limits, which in an SQ install you would never need to do.

I thought my L7 sounded pretty **** good as did a friend of mine that has an ear pickier than mine.
