I have come into a crap load of cash recently and am deciding to sell my exremely loud L7's..(first set up in ten years that makes me nausious and hurts my ears)..........I am debating on either two 13W7's or 4 12W6V2's. I have two thousand watts rms of the best power out there. I am partial to running the 4 w6's in a sealed enclosure for mind blowing accuracy and loudness.

I want to here from people with first hand knowledge of these subs. Please guys, if you haven't llistened to them don't give your two cents ok.

I had three original 12W6's 8 years ago hooked up to my PPI A1200.2 and **** the depth and accuracy was out of this world. That is what I am looking for.

Please help me choose since I don't ask you brothers for much. I'm opening myself up.

tough, but i'd say stick with the w6's just because there are 4. w7's are rediculous, but the w6's arent that far behind when it comes to response and accuracy. not only that, 4 woofers will give you the same output with less wear and tear on each woofer, IMO. something to ponder. both woofers are A+ woofers though, definately worth the overpriced tag. hehe.

Ive never heard a W7 before but I did get the chance yesterday to hear two W6s inside two ported boxes and I liked what I heard. They were pretty loud and souded really good. I would be happy owning 4 of those.

Yes the W7s are fantastic for sheer volume and exellent accuracy, the W6v2s will have better accuracy. I've had both setups and will have to say the W6s are better for musical reproduction where as the W7s (although still quite accurate) get pretty loud

W6 = SQ

W7 = SQL

God I miss my old 3x 10w6 & PPI A1200 setup I had. All that in a tiny CRX to boot!

today i mean like in 3 hours me and a friend will be building a box for his 13w6. what is the recommended enlcosure for them? should we go sealed or ported?

Pay some one for some plans. Dont just make a box. Obviously your confused.

I would go with the w6's...i have never heard a better soinding subwoofer...the only reason i am trying to get rid of mine is because i wanted to finish my setup, but ran into car problems and need to go with something cheaper....if i hadn't, i would definitely be adding another 12w6v2...

i still say w7's are more accurate as well as loud than the w6's, but the w6's are **** nice. i'd give both subs a solid 10 out of 10...i've heard about better subs, but never heard one. so until someone proves to me that the w7 isnt the king sub to beat, then it IS the king sub to beat...to me anyway.

the 4 W6v2's will have more output than the W7's and they are the best SQ woofers
no they wont.

the difference would be negligable at best, varying in either direction.

the w7 has an xmax of 33mm, thats double the linear displacement of the w6v2s.

why do so many people say the w6v2s sound better than the w7? ive heard both and if you level match both of them, (as in play the same volume), they both sound great. i think when people start turning them up they think volume is reversely proportional to SQ.
