if you want louder, one type R ported... will be louder than any of the above setups, *way* louder than 2 R's sealed.

I'm voting yes. Since I've worked at tweeter and have heard both in tons of different applications, especially the Type-S's sold like crazy, I would have to say the Type-X. With the proper wattage that thing gets mad loud! Though the Type-S's even in a badpass are extremley crazy and really loud. But the Type-X is a great sub, it should get more props then what people give it.

both in a ported box... the type S is definitely louder up until about 800 watts.
