1 sub setup

well i found someone to buy my amp and my sub , so with my new car means a new setup will come . I want to get 1 12'' to start off with and hopefully it will be enough , but if not ill just add another later . The subs i had in mind are - diamond d9 , re sx , and phoenix gold titanium elite. I will have a 200 amp alt. with a 5.25 phenoix gold elite component set up front . I want it to get loud but not sound like total azz and i listen to rap n r&b , sorry for long post

Are you going to want to use that MRD-605 to drive this 12" of some kind subwoofer?

I cannot speak to the SX having never even seen one in person but the D9 and the Ti Elite are going to want more than 600w to perform at their best. That's not to say 600w won't get them moving....it will....but they both really want more than that.

no i will not be using the alpine ... not sure which amp yet but will be between 1000 - 1200 watts most likely

but between the pg and the d9 which will get loudest in proper ported box ? ik they will both sound nice

In light of that.....I'd go with the D9. Like I said I cannot speak to the SX but the D9 sounds better than the Ti Elite to my ears.

my amp will more than likely be a re 12.1 , would this amp and the d9 be a good match ?

im guessing since you said you sold the amp and sub your getting a new amp also correct? well then just get a d9 or the titanium and the orion wcc 2500d off ebay( i know its a lot but it leaves you room to up grade and you can wire the d9 in at 4 ohms to give it 1200 which it would love and at 450 how can you pass it up).

Personally I have never heard a D9 or PG sub, but I know and have heard SXs get crazy off of 1200 watts.

i think i can squeeze a 15'' , i have about 18'' of height to work with so i think it would fit ok . So im kinda down between the 15'' sx or 15'' d9 instead of a 12

I did a D9/TDX ported in my RSX last week,powered by an eD 9.1(1200+w) in

a ported box ..I find it to be amazing,it finds low notes I never new exsisted

It gets plenty loud and is clean while doing it....

Sometimes I get a laugh while driving because it amazes me how good it sounds

You will need a bigger amp than that Alpine 605 though
