1 or 2 amps for my setup?

ima get 2 15" l7s and i was planning on getting a mono channel mp that's about 1200Watts rms. but i was told that it would be louder with 2 amps, one for each sub. is this true? also if i build a box with 2 power terminal(the things where the wire to the amp connects to the box) and i wire the subs parrallel will they still create a 1 ohm load if i connect themboth to the amp? or do i have to connect bothe subs inside of the box and have i cable coming out of the box to the amp?

it all depends how much power there is. i like to go with one amp because it'll save trunk space. just get a nice big powerful amp such as a orion 2500d or the something similar.

whats the diference btween monochannel and monoblock? would it still be a 1 ohmload if i wire them like i said?

it don't matter. power is power wether it's coming from 1 or 2 amps

there are the same. yes as long as you wire your subs in parallel. just run the 2 terminal cups on the box

it don't matter. power is power wether it's coming from 1 or 2 amps

X2, but you might wanna save yourself some money and wiring, and just do one big amp, that's just my opinion.

if they are the same wattage it doesn't matter

talon2nr7588, not trying to bash but read. power is power. find out how much power you want to give the subs and get an amp that will supply that power. thats it. we even recommened an amp for you, orion 2500D.

no, your friend may think if you add 1000 watts to each, or get a 2000 watt amp, like the Orion 2500d, Kicker KX25001, etc and get all that with one amp...same power, just one chassis.

tell your friend he's a douchebag. if you get a orion 2500D which will put out 2500 watts @ 1 ohm or follow your friend and get two orion 1200D which will put put 1200 @ 1 ohm so a total of 2400 watts and the 1200Ds will get more loud according to your friend? yea it can get louder, if you turn the gain all the way up and clip the shiet out of the amp. just get a nice big amp. orion 2500D or kicker 2500.1 or something similiar. if you want you can get two amps, but it won't get louder.
