What do you guys think of this beast

It only only rms at 7500,dont get me wrong thats alot of power, but over priced and most likey rated at like 14.4 volts, the Hifonics maxximus IMO kill that thing,I dunno I have come to dislike Rfs products after seein what proplems my friends have had with thier newer age RF's.

id rather save 10000 bucks and go with the maxximus.... haha that is what i am doing right now on a largers scale... i went with the hifonics Tx1505 instead on the RF T10001bd 699 compareed to 219 shipped..... the choice was obvious...

rread it agian, 7500 rms x 2 thats 15000 plus the fosgate product will be built so much better and have such better support then the hifonics
15kw is more like a short term "burst power" rating. It can not sustain that power output level for very long.....less than a minute (IIRC around 16 seconds)

When you wish to actually learn something, please read through this thread: http://www.carsound.com/UBB/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=010998;p=1

Werewolf, who is inarguable one of the most electrically knowledgeable members of any forum, does a good job of explaining the physics behind this amplifiers output capabilites (specifically on page 2). And, FYI, the engineer who did design the amp posts in that thread aswell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My favorite quote (after all of the mathmatical physics type stuff that I know you are not interested in....)

So there we have it. This is a 15kW amp, for 16 seconds ... max. And I've made lots of favorable assumptions along the way.
I know, you would much rather like to jump to conclusions and bash me for my [accurate] post than concede defeat and admit I was right......

But, the simple fact is, the design does not allow this amplifier to sustain such power output levels for any length of time.
