So I was talking to a company today, and they do NOT recommend 1 ohm from any amp for their speakers because the signal is 'dirty'. They recommend ONLY 2 ohm and 4 ohm from an amp because they are 'cleaner' signals.
I have run many systems, all at a little over, at, or below 1 ohm and have never had a problem with this so called 'sub destroyer' problem they are talking of. The only thing I can think of is setting the gains wrong when running 1 ohm since output is obviously greater at 1 ohm than 2 or 4.
What do you guys think?
