My stock battery died (of natural causes, was old lol)... so I'm replacing it. This is the first time I've done anything with the batt, so I need help.
Setup will (eventually) be a 1600w sub amp and 300w RMS to comps. Stock alternator, 105a. Stock battery location is already in the back.
Surprisingly, never had any dimming issues with my OEM battery (550CCA), running sub amps up to 2000w.
I've got a Kinetik 800 on the way.... my question is, should I:
-- keep the 800 as a starter batt, get a second 800 for the subs
-- sell the 800, get an HC1800 to run everything
-- keep the 800 for the subs, and get a Deka for a starter
-- something else?
The concerns I have.... will the alt be able to charge either the 2 batts or the bigger single batt, and is there any benefit to running 2 batts over 1, and vice versa?
Thanks in advance.... not sure what is the best way to approach this
