What are some amps and where can I find them that are 1/4 ohm stable?

why would you want such a thing??

The only one I know of that is truely 1/4 ohm stable is the old school Lanzar Opti50C.

It does about 1000 watts at 1/4 ohm bridged, but they were made several years ago and are hard to find. They show up on ebay once in a while.

Some MMATS are stable down to .5ohm's...Orion maybe?

My buddy bought some SPL subs and told me he can wire them down to 1/4 ohms.

I am almost possitive Orion doesn't make em that low either.. .5 was their lowest with the old HCCA amps..

look into the us amps, i know the vlx-25 is, so i am guessing that the vlx series is, they have a 225 fuse rating but rated super low so try finding out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sounds like he has a pair of dual 1ohm coil subs or quad 2ohm coil subs. why not ask him exactly what subs they are. b/c anything that can be wired to 1/4ohm, can also be wired to prolly 1ohm or somewhere around that. oh and there is 1 mark antony amp that can be wired to 1/4 ohm.

yea the mmats 1400.5 amps go down to .5 Ohms..what kind of subs do you have by the way?

Must have 2 Dual 1 Coil subs...Shockers or something...

Earthquake D3 goes down to .25 ohms

Old school US Amps and Orions go the same.

thing is though if he has a pair of dual 1ohm subs why not get like a crossfire 2000D and run it @1ohm and get 2kw out of it ya know.

dunno it was an example lol. point is there are plenty of 1ohm stable amps that do 2kw. i think they are though b/c steve is running a pair on his 9515's which are 2/2. i dunno though what would help is what kind of power this guy is looking for.
