08 L7 vs 06 L7....cutout same size?

I blew my L7s so I'm gonna be ordering some new ones probably next week. I am planning on getting the 08 model but I was reading online that kicker redesigned them some, so I was wondering if the cutout size was still the same because I really dont want to have to do any modifications to my box.

Also has anyone noticed a sound difference between the 06 and 08 model?

I just hate the way 08's look, i run 06's.

I got 13-3/4 cutout diameter
