07 chevy silverado crew cab ls 5.3

Have subs amp cap and wires. Before I pull apart my entire dash to find out it won't work. Is there a way to wire the sub with stock head unit? Or do I need wiring harness new hu ect?

I have the same vehicle. I would recomend getting an aftermarket headunit because it has more features, but it is fine to use a line output converter for sub amps. Google LOC, and you should find plenty of useful information.

Also, ditch the capacitor

I never got the cap working the right way but it way for my 99 cav because the stock alt couldn't handle the 6500watt output lol well peak
