ray@ss, why do you say that building it up to the window is pointless? Not doubting you, just wondering. That would give me more airspace and I need as much as I can get. I would like to fit (2) 10W3s.

That was a pretty slick install.

I think the reason that going to the bottom the window won't help is that once you get to a certain point the thickness of the material the box is built from will displace all the potential airspace and you will end up with nothing there usable anyway.

I would go with second skin products, or if you stuck on using dynamat, stick with the extreme line because its not asphalt based. You want buytl based mat. The problem with asphalt products is they tend to degrade and melt under heat. Second skin is a better product for the same if not less $$, and the mats are very dense and buytl based. Go to the second skin forums they have some very helpful people, and if you post up your goals they will help you choose the correct products and the ammount you will need
