ATTN: Blazer owners *PIC*...

So I just hooked up my 18" Fully Loaded BTL into my ride and man o man is it loud! I definetly need to fix a few things though to help deaden vibration type sounds.

I've allready put up about 150sq.ft. of Dynamate Xtreme on the headliner and rear hatch which has helped out big time, but now I have a new sound that's hella weird. See the vent on the rear pillar that I circled in red below, I'm having massive amounts of air coming out of those vents and it's making a loud low frequency flapping noise.

I'm trying to figure out ways to prevent the air from escaping out of these rear pillars so I can stop the flapping noise. Any ideas?, and do any of you blazer owners with a loud setup have the same issue?

Any type of input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

It wasn't an issue when I was running a couple of type R's in 5 cubes @ 34 hz, but now with the BTL it's making way more pressure causing these rear pillars to sound like a couple of indians pounding some tight drums hella fast.

Anymore ideas on how to fix this issue fellow blazer owners, anyone else have this issue?

So far expanding foam may be the way to go, but I'm not sure at what angle to hit from. Do they make black expanding foam? Id' hate to see some yellow foam coming outta those vents lol.

Thnx, I've actually just got the DUB emblem painted black chrome for a much sleeker look. I've had that emblem on since Demeber of 2004. Since then they have gone pretty wack with the crap audio gear they put and overkill advertisment. LOL, its embarising walking into walmart and seeing the DUB spinner grill subs, oh well I still like reading there magazines.

Hey man, I know nomad40 has a loud 2nd gen blazer, might want to shoot him a PM and see if he's ever had that problem.

Hope you figure that out, I was thinking about picking up a 4dr 2nd gen. Can't believe you have that much mat on your headliner and hatch. I assume you've already pulled the trim in the back to see where that external vent leads too?

Yeah I'm surprised you used that much on the headliner/hatch... Ant at Second Skin recommended 160 feet of Damplifier Pro to deaden the WHOLE Blazer.

Unfortunately I will be putting in a similiar setup in the same truck sometime REAL soon, I was afraid of those weird *** vents being a problem.
