I did not mount them where the stocks are located. i actually left them installed. i went to the bottom of the door. i wanted to mount them to the door but there is a big open area there. so i had to do it throught the panel. if you are good with wood you could make a baffel for the inside of the door. you might even be able to fit them in the stock location.

oh dam.that is some nice work.cuz i have a 03 mustang and i want to replace my speakers and people tell me not to get 5x7 to change to 5 1/4 or 6.5.so i was just wonderin wat u did.

i had the shaker system in my 06 so i was able to mount the 6.5"s in the 8" location and 2" tweets where the 5x7's are. How did you go about running the speaker wire into the doors? Pm me about that please..
