Hey guys I am new to this forum and hopefully I am not breaking any rules by even mentioning bose stereos because other forums do not think highly of them.
My situation is this: I have a 2001 pathfinder with bose stereo in it. I get aggravated with the poor volume level and distortion with the bose setup. Also my little brother will give me his Kicker comp 12" subwoofer. From what I understand you cannot change out the speakers and still use the stock stereo. Is it possible to change the head unit only and keep the stock speakers? I would definitely be upgrading the speakers too but I wouldn't have all the money to do it all at once.
Also if anyone knows, Where can I find schematics and/or data sheets for the bose stereo in my car? and if anyone knows of a place I can go to get more knowledge on my stereo.
