xBiznitch posted a topic in Car Audio Build LogsHi Guys, My name is Andrew, I'm 18, and I have been spending about the last year looking into enhancing the audio quality in my car. I have: 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5t without a CD-changer. I don't really know what configurations are good and I'm trying to keep a fairly low budget as I'm new to this. I also seem to have a problem with knowing the depth of my front, lower door speakers. Crutchfield, the site I have been mainly shopping around at says that the lower front door speaker depth allotted is 1.151" whereas websites like Pioneer and Kicker both say that the depth of all doors is ~3". Please let me know if anyone has more information about the door depth The parts I have been looking at so far are as follows: Speakers: 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P16-S(With Tweeters) https://www.crutchfield.com/S-IseyZTU0ZIo/p_575P16S/Rockford-Fosgate-P16-S.html Sub: Rockford Fosgate Prime R1-2X9 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R12X10/Rockford-Fosgate-Prime-R1-2X10.html Receiver: Pioneer MVH-200EX https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130200EX/Pioneer-MVH-200EX.html Amp: Kenwood Excelon X501-2 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113X5011/Kenwood-Excelon-X501-1.html?tp=35834 Amp Wires: Rockford Fosgate RFK4 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575RFK4/Rockford-Fosgate-RFK4.html?tp=635 This brings the price to $836.92 on Crutchfield. Included are the following: Speaker Wiring Harness Scosche SAC-656 Multipurpose Speaker Mounting Brackets Metra Female Quick Slides Axxes XSVI-9003-NAV Interface Harness Scosche VW2317AB Dash Kit European Antenna Adapter Volkswagen Jetta Installation Guide I'm looking for any suggestions and comments, as I'm new, any criticism would be appreciated as I am not an expert and want my money to be well spent. Any other suggestions would be appreciated Thanks in advance.
