    Second Head Unit

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I won't worry about it too much then. Hopefully that'll help the rest of my install go off without a hitch.

    Second Head Unit

So, I'm currently putting together an install for my '07 Mazda 3. I'm getting ready to install my new head unit, when I stumbled across a question that I can't really figure out a good answer to. I bought a dash kit that installs my new head unit on the top of my dash (see...

    Tinsel Connection Help

Awesome... I'll probably end up using some speaker wire I have lying around to lengthen it a bit. Thanks, guys - much appreciated.

    Tinsel Connection Help

Hey all, I was wondering if I could get some advice from you guys on a little sub / tinsel problem I'm having. The negative side tinsel on one of my subs has come loose on the connection end (not the cone side) and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with re-attaching them. Some of the...

    mdf costs

You might have to go to a bigger hardware place / lumber yard to find it (ie, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) but I managed to get mine for like $18, I think. Might want to figure out how and if they'll cut it for you at the store so that you can take it home in a smaller car... I had planned out...

    When sound deading a trunk...

Want to know a little trick? I don't know if anyone's ever had problems with the actual latch on the trunk rattling (I have a glass gate that rattles like nothing else). The fit of the gate to the latch loosened over time, and the latch would rattle against the metal clasp thingy. I used...

Why does everyone use a JBL 1200.1?

Plus, the quality is really good, from what I understand... sound output is TIGHT.

    95 Ecplise

Personally, I think it looks hot as hell, so the question then becomes... do you want it to kick ass on the road or are you satisfied with it just driving okay and looking nasty as hell? Because an RS without enough help isn't really that impressive... Mike

    insuring my head unit?

Hmmmm... I wonder if normal car theft insurance would cover an after-market head unit... don't they have to cover the contents of the car along with the car itself? That, combined with a store warranty to protect against your Head Unit biting the dust prior to you buying a new one, should have...

Plugging a subwoofer into a wall outlet....

Nothing like the smell of melting surrounds and burnt plastic to TRULY alleviate the frustration caused by a day of school... Mike

    LeMans

Yeah, the oil pan could **** a lot. I don't know enough about automotive parts to know where you could get one discount or anything, but I guess if you REALLY knew what you were doing you could just buy the oil pan and install it yourself (???). I would imagine that would be incredibly tricky...

    LeMans

Hmmm.... you know, the oil pan might be tough, but you might be able to gank new dials off of an old junker somewhere. Could save a lot of time and money, if all else fails. And ghetto rice that bad boy... all the way from the cheesy stickers to the whale tail spoiler to the neon colored seat...

    ECLIPSE setup?

I'd say buy the equipment - do the install yourself. Would still sound really nice, and you won't get reamed by the install charge.
